Event description

Description

[*** SEE TUITION INFO BELOW ***]

The Advanced Mediate Your Life: Conflict Coaching and Mediation trainings are for people who want to develop their ability to offer distinctions and skills of empathic communication applied to conflict coaching with individuals and to mediating conflicts and difficult conversations between people. These trainings are also for people who want to develop their skills to a higher level and practice with more challenging situations. Mediate Your Lifetraining integrates Nonviolent Communication (NVC), mindfulness/awareness, neuroscience, and a mediation framework, as well as empathic community-building. The vision of this work is for empathic communication skills, practices, and community to be recognized in the cultural mainstream as an integral part of health and wellness, and part of humanity's evolution toward responding together to the challenges we face and creating a healthy and sustainable world.

Prerequisite: This training is for people who have attended at least one year of the Mediate Your Life program, and have been engaging in regular practice with self and others in between intensives, or have been regularly practicing Nonviolent Communication (NVC) for at least two years.

This 2-day Advanced MYL: Conflct Coaching with Inner Mediation provides in-depth experiential learning and practice using the Mediate Your Life processes, or "maps," to coach individuals dealing with inner conflict and challenges related to their personal and work lives. The MYL maps that we'll primarily be working with this weekend are: Chooser-Educator and Internal Mediation processes. There will also be the possibility of working with the other MYL maps for coaching: Preparing for Difficult Conversations (Enemy Image Process), Practicing Difficult Conversations (Intensity Exercise), Interpersonal Mediation, 3Chairs Process for Difficult Conversations, and Debriefing for Resilience (Mourn Celebrate Learn Process).

You will receive in depth, in-the-moment coaching from me (John) as you practice the conflict coaching and mediation skills. You will be able to dial up and down the difficulty level to customize your learning, and maximize your growth by playing the roles of both coach and client, give and receive supportive peer feedback, and receive in-the-moment coaching.

I will also offer how I integrate awareness/consciousness practice into the work, and the importance to me of empathic community-building.

Space is limited to 12 people.

TUITION

Philosophy of Money
The pricing below is what I (John) would like to receive to support this work and my sustainability. However, because I see this work being for the greater good of humanity and all people and communities, and because I want to support a monetary system based in giving and receiving from the meaning and enjoyment of contributing to one another's well being, you are free to give what feels right to you. My request is that you stretch yourself to give as much as you're willing and able to give. Not only will this support me and this work, I believe it will support you to receive the most benefit and value from doing the work. If you would like to give an amount different from what is listed below, email: connect@mediateyourlife.com, or call (415) 710-2777. Thank you for wanting to be part of this work in the world!

Cancellations:
If you cancel before the start of the training, you'll receive full credit for future training. And I (John) am always willing to be in dialogue about particular situations, circumstances, and requests.

FOR QUESTIONS: email connect@mediateyourlife.com, or call (415) 710-2777.
