Advanced Mentoring - Online Fundraising
In this class, participants will learn the basics of online fundraising. A variety of methods and tools for developing and executing successful online fundraising campaigns will be demonstrated, and examples of local and national campaigns will be studied. Participants will explore the marketing side of the campaign process, including strategies to build their brand’s social media pages ahead of a campaign to better leverage online audiences, and preparing campaign messaging to connect with the audience in a meaningful but concise way that drives donations. Participants will build a sample “#GivingTuesday” campaign as part of the coursework that can be used for their organization. Familiarity with Facebook and email is helpful.
