Advanced Mentoring - Annual Fund
Join us for a comprehensive conversation covering a full range of topics related to annual giving. Week one we will discuss overall Fundraising plans paying particular attention to the Annual Giving portion of the plan and how various fundraising goals feed into a comprehensive annual giving program. We will pay particular attention to the difference between an Annual Find and Annual Giving program. We will spend time considering your organization’s mission, setting achievable yet stretch goals and how your strategic plan drives your fundraising plans.
Next we will consider strategies for building your donor base and working through the Moves Management process – identification and qualification phases. We will dig deeper into the various options for gaining annual support – phone programs, direct mail, e-mails, social media, events, grants, etc.
A third meeting will provide for continuation of the Moves process – cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. We will discuss opportunities to identify and collaborate with major gifts and legacy programs to deepen the relationships with donors.
We will complete our conversation with discussion about Face to Face meetings; moves management vs engagement focused fundraising; donor focused fundraising vs institution focused fundraising. We will address the importance of retention of donors through building lasting relationships. We will complete our time together discussing career options in annual giving.
