Description
This class is designed for you to learn to make a shaped garment (not cut and sew) from pattern to machine. This is a a 2 day class. The second day will be decided in person.
You will learn:
Tension swatches
Transferring measurements from Childrenswear garment
Designing a paper pattern - basic set in sleeve block to the garment
Transferring pattern on to graph Knitting panels - shaping
Grafting and linkingSandwich trimsLinking sandwich trim on garment
Making pockets
Learners need to have sufficient knowledge on machine knitting especially how to cast off, do decreases and an understanding of how knit works. You will have to take your own notes and bring your own yarns. You are free to purchase yarns from our studio. Pattern paper is chargeable 25p a metre.
