Advanced Excel Topics: LOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH
Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Facilitator: James Welsh
This session will cover the extremely powerful LOOKUP, INDEX, and MATCH functions. If you use Excel with large datasets regularly, these functions can change the way you work!
Staff, faculty, and students are welcome!
We will work through several examples of real-world datasets using both LOOKUP functions and INDEX/MATCH combinations. Example data will be provided, but feel free to bring your own data.
The LOOKUP (and the related VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP) function finds and returns a specified value from a data set. The INDEX and MATCH functions serve a similar purpose. You will learn how to write formulas that take advantage of these functions.
