Event description

Description

This hands-on workshop is hosted by Athena Enzyme Systems and NanoTemper Technologies at Athena's R&D Lab at the UMBC Technology Center South Campus. Attendance is free and lunch will be provided! Sheldon E. Broedel, Jr. Ph.D. and Ellen Lee, Ph.D. will alternate running experiments on both machines throughout the day. This event is open to all researchers, post-docs, and students who need to remain current on advancements in protein sciences.

There is a limit of 25 attendees for this workshop. Due to high interest we are considering future workshops for those who are unable to attend our March 28th event.

For all questions, dietery restrictions, or other requests: Contact Benjamin@AthenES.com or call Benjamin at (410) 455-6319

The Contichrom Cube by Athena Enzyme Systems:

The Contichrom® CUBE preparative chromatography systems are highly flexible instruments for performing a wide range of bio-separations. In addition to being able to run conventional batch and gradient separations of proteins and small molecules using single or multiple columns, these instruments have the added ability to perform simulated moving bed and multi-column counter-current purification methods.

The Prometheus NT.48 by NanoTemper Technologies:

The Prometheus NT.48 instrument and the nanoDSF technology, allows for in-parallel high-precision characterization of stability and aggregation parameters of biologicals. The advanced Differential Scanning Fluorimetry technology detects the smallest changes in the fluorescence of tryptophan present in virtually all proteins for unmatched data resolution of protein unfolding.
