Advanced Burn Life Support

Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) provides knowledge for immediate care of the burn patient up to the first 24 hours post injury. The course covers the following topics:
- Airway Management and Smoke Inhalation Injuries
- Burn Shock and Fluid Resuscitation
- Burn Wound Management
- Electrical and Chemical Injuries
- Pediatric Burn Injuries
- Transfer Recommendations
- Burn Disaster Management
The ABLS Provider Course is an eight-hour course for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, therapists, and paramedics.
*The American Burn Association designates this continuing medical education activity for up to 7.25 credit hours in Category 1 of the Physician’s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. This program also has been approved by the AACN for 7.40 contact hours Category A.
