Friday, August 5th: Reinventing a Stagnant Retail Business – Lessons Learned (so far) from Woofables Gourmet Dog Bakery
When Laura and Alex Taylor purchased Woofables in 2010, the business was flat and barely profitable, the owners were not getting paid, and the outlook for sustainability was dubious. In the first year, Laura and Alex repurposed the business for 30% growth. Though a series of savvy business decisions, painful ($) mistakes, and entrepreneurial spirit, Woofables has expanded online, into the wholesale channel and forged a few strategic partnerships. The business has grown more than 200% and continues to accelerate in this niche market. The Top Dog (Laura) and Go2Dog (Alex) will share their Woofables story and how they continue to evolve their business.
