Wet Felted Gathering Basket with Sam Coon

Create a sturdy gathering basket using the wet felting process with coarser wool breeds, as well as a fairly thick layout. Learn about the entire wet felting process: wool types, layout and design using a resist, felting, and fulling. Whether you are new to wet felting, or experienced, this is a fun, very useful project to complete; expect to get a workout in the process! The wool to be used is undyed and natural. Examples will be provided. Driftwood will be provided for handles or students are welcome to bring their own special pieces to incorporate if desired. Finished basket will have an approximately 8” diameter.
