TO REGISTER:

1) DROP IN OR CALL – Call the Library Arts Center office at 603-863-3040 or stop by during gallery hours (Tues-Fri. 11am-4pm, Sat. 10am-2pm) Your registration is complete when we have received your competed registration form, as well as payment for the class.
2) PRINT & MAIL a registration form with your check.
3) REGISTER ONLINE NOW via EventBrite.

*PLEASE NOTE: If the class of your choice is full or canceled due to lack of enrollment, you will be notified and entitled to a full refund. Class tuition is due in full on or before the first day of the class session. Make-up classes will only be offered when the instructor is unable to teach his/her class.

Members of the Library Arts Center may subtract 10% from tuition prices of all classes. Scholarships for children’s classes are available; please inquire.

HOLIDAY ORNAMENT & GARLAND WORKSHOP

NEEDLE FELTED SNOWMEN

Instructor: Jennifer Boyd
Saturday, January 12th, 9am-12pm
Location: Library Arts Center Studio
Tuition: $10 + a $25 materials fee
For those that are just starting out with needle felting, we will be making a simple single ball snowman with details. Those who have more experience we may do a multi-tiered snowman with details. This is a great project if you are new to needle felting. If you have more experience, this project will allow you to personalize and become more comfortable with different techniques. This class is geared toward adults and children ages 10&up.

Tuition: Varies by basket choice: see link for BASKET OPTIONS
In this one-day workshop students can choose to make one of a variety of baskets including a wool gathering basket, laundry basket, double-pie, or pack basket (see other options at the link below). The baskets will be woven using reed with a hardwood base, rails, and rim. All materials are created and prepared by Ray Lagasse. Each participant will be asked to choose which basket he or she will be making upon registration. Each Student will leave the workshop with the completed basket of his or her choosing. Registration will close a week before the class starts. **Students who cancel before the class will still owe a $35 fee for materials preparation.

ADULT OPEN STUDIO ART GROUP

Facilitator: Heidi Lorenz
DROP-IN FEE per session: $8 members / $12 non-members
ONGOING, WEDNESDAYS, 9am-12noon
Looking for a time to work on current projects? Be inspired to work in a studio environment alongside other area artists in this drop-in group that meets on a weekly basis. The class facilitator, Heidi Lorenz, is available for light guidance. All mediums are welcome. No prior experience is necessary. Please bring all supplies you will need for your projects. Call the Arts Center at 603.863.3040 for more information.

WATERCOLOR FOR DIFFERENTLY-ABLED ADULTS

ONGOING, Friday mornings 9 am-12 noon
Classes will resume weekly again on Fri. Nov. 9th
Tuition: $6 a session, includes materials
This inclusive group meets in the studio for inspired watercolor art projects with artist and instructor Becky Bense. This class is designed to engage differently-abled adults as well as their caregivers in fun, creative art projects! Please contact the Library Arts Center if you know of a student who would be interested in joining this group.


SPRING LANDSCAPE WITH FLOWERS IN WATERCOLOR

Instructor Robert J O’Brien, AWS NWS
Saturday and Sunday, March 23 and 24, 9:30am-4pm both days (bring a bag lunch)
Tuition: $150
After a long winter, students will awaken to the vibrant colors of spring in its natural splendor. In this course, students will learn to paint the beautiful New England Landscape in spring. We will incorporate these landscapes with bursts of floral color. Additionally, students will learn to paint flowers from a close focus perspective. Composition and Values will be emphasized. The class will begin with an instructor demonstration followed by class painting. A critique will be held at the end of the session. This class is open to all levels.

THE SPRING LANDSCAPE: LESSONS FROM THE AMERICAN IMPRESSIONISTS

Join master pastelist Robert for a fun and informative workshop which will concentrate on putting into practice specific compositional devices, color concepts, textural ideas, pastel application and more — garnered from our great legacy of American Impressionist painting in New England, The day begins with a concise and helpful visual presentation and demonstration of the lesson: The awakening spring landscape in sunlight and shadow including color temperature lessons.This workshop features at-easel and general critiques and lots of painting time. Work from your own images or one of the instructor’s. All levels welcome, beginner through advanced.
