Description

"Adulting 101” is a new, fun, and informative 10-week program that helps to better prepare teens for adulthood by teaching them the basics of being a grown-up. The Program will focus on resume-building; budgeting and money management; grocery shopping and meal preparation; sewing; babysitting; organization and time management; and more. “Adulting 101” teaches teens the life skills they need as they transition from childhood into adulthood, and focuses on topics that they may not learn through more-traditional academic experiences.

“Adulting 101” is open to all teens. Although it is the brainchild of the Winnetka Youth Organization, it is made possible by the contributions of a wide range of local-area partners and supporters, including:

The Program is a weekly series of 10 classes. Each class is developed and led by a local business leader and subject matter expert.

Dates: Tuesdays, between September 10, 2019 and November 19, 2019. No class on October 8, 2019.

Time: 4:00pm – 5:30pm

Location: Winnetka Youth Organization Drop-in Center, located in the lower level of the Community House at 620 Lincoln Ave, Winnetka, IL 60093

Cost:

Early-bird pricing (register by August 27th): $90
Regular pricing: $100

  • Every teen that participates is able to bring one friend for FREE

  • Teens may register and parents may register their teens

  • Financial aid is available to teens in need. Click here to submit a request for tuition.

  • All registrations include snacks and session materials

No, Adulting 101 is open to all teens.

Adulting 101 is offered to teens in 9th-12th grade.

Free parking is located on the South enterance of the Community House (on Pine St.).
