A short introduction to safeguarding, with a particular focus on people at risk of harm or exploitation and who may also not have recourse to public funds.
This training was first delivered in July 2016, and was substantially over-subscribed
The training is aimed at front line staff and volunteers of organisations working with asylum seekers, refugees, and other migrants.
It assumes no prior knowledge, and is based on the successful Safeguarding Awareness Course, ‘Safeguarding Adults: The Role of the person Raising a Concern.’
It will provide an overview of the signs and symptoms of abuse and how safeguarding adults aims to support those at risk of abuse and neglect.
