Event Details

Please join Dr. Sheila Jones Chief of Adult Protective Services (APS) in the Department of Human Services, for an in-house training at La Casa on September 13th from 1 to 3 PM. Dr. Jones will be conducting an introduction into APS services (APS 101) for staff. A few of the topic areas being covered include but aren’t limited to, overview of what APS does (who they are), what they are legally bound to do, reporting and mandated reporting, the dangers in under-reporting, and the senior safe initiative (involves financial exploitation of seniors). Dr. Jones will be providing a few case examples as well during her presentation.

Please don’t miss out on this wonderful professional and educational opportunity! Our community and organization have a growing senior population, navigating challenging cases and ensuring we provide our participants with the best care plan possible is of critical importance.
