Topics Covered:

  2. Anxiety disorders
  3. Trauma
  4. Psychosis

When you take a course, you learn how to apply the Mental Health First Aid action plan in a variety of situations, including when someone is experiencing:

  • Non-suicidal self-injury
  • Acute psychosis (e.g., hallucinations or delusions)

You learn by getting involved with the material and relating what you learn to real-life applications. Discussion topics, scenarios, and other activities keep you engaged in the course and give you an opportunity to practice helping skills.

This event is sponsored by the Lake County Health Department and Community Health Center in partnership with Independence Center.
