June 1, 2017: 5:30pm-7:30pm AND

June 8, 2017: 5:30pm-7:30pm

This two-part, 4 hour course will focus on basic bike handling skills, for adults ages 14 and up who have never ridden a bicycle or are new to cycling. This inviting introductory course will cover all the fundamental skills needed to get on the bike and ride comfortably.

Key Course Information

Course Length: 4 hours (2hrsx2)

Ages: 14 and up

Skills Taught:

  • safety review and equipment
  • handling skills including: coast and balance, pedal and steer, go and stop

Required Equipment:

  • bicycle in good working order, sized properly
  • approved helmet (CSA, Snell, or ASTM)
  • bike bell required
  • closed toe shoes

Prerequisites: none

Resources Provided: Cyclist Handbook

Cost: $50 per person

Please note: minimum registration required for the course to run. Registered participants will be notified of any course changes a minimum of 1 week prior to course start date
