Adult Mechanic Class: Thursday, June 22th AND Friday June 24th from 6 PM - 8 PM
Our Adult Mechanic Class (AMC) will teach you to perform routine maintenance on your own bicycle through supervised, hands-on instruction from our professional mechanics using Park Tool School. You must attend both days.
The program will include:
How to clean and inspect a bicycle for an mechanical issues
Flat tire repair
One copy of Park Tool’s Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair
Adult Mechanic Class graduates can continue their education to become eligible to volunteer at future sessions of our Earn A Bike program, Supervised Self-Service Sessions, and to make use of shop amenities during scheduled hours.
Are there minimum age requirements to participate in Adult Mechanic Class?
AMC is for anyone age 18 and over. We offer a youth Earn A Bike class for kids age 12-17 years old.
What should I bring to the class?
Participants should bring their own bicycle to work on for the duration of the class. We find it's best to get to know your own bike better! In addition to your bike, make sure to wear comfy, closed-toe shoes and old clothes that you wouldn't mind getting dirty; bike repair is messy work!
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Call the shop at 717.461.3386 or email email@example.com
What's the refund policy?
Because the class size is so small and the demand is so great, we ask that you try your best to commit to the class session that you choose. We understand that things happen, so if something does come up, let us know as soon as possible and we'll try to come to an amenable solution.
Is my registration fee transferrable?
Yes. If for some reason you cannot make it to the class, let us know who you'll be sending in your place. We'll take care of the rest.
Is it ok if the name on my registration doesn't match the person who attends?
Also yes. If you're purchasing this class as a gift, etc, no problem. Just be sure that we're aware of the attendee's name.
