Description

Join us at our February workshop titled "Adopted & a Minority: The Additional Realities of Cultural Variances". Our presenter will be Christina Lucas. The following is a short bio on Christina Lucas.

Christina Lucas and her husband have adopted three children from the Wisconsin foster care system. Their current ages are 15, 15 and 13 and were placed with them as infants. They also have one biological child that is 11 years old. Christina and her husband were treatment foster parents for approximately seven years.Their family is multicultural including Native American and African American ethnicities. Christina is a full-time instructor at Northcentral Technical College teaching in the Human Services and Substance Use Disorder Counseling Programs. She is a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Certified Social Worker (CSW) and Intermediate Clinical Supervisor (ICS) and has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services.
