Adopt-a-Book

The Friends of the Lancaster Public Library invite you to attend the annual Adopt-a-Book event.

Help us grow the Library’s collection by “adopting” a book to live on our shelves! Your selection will be commemorated with a book plate and become a permanent part of the Library’s collection. Enjoy wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live music while browsing!

We hope you will join this unique opportunity to support the Lancaster Public Library! At the annual Adopt-a-Book event, you have the chance to expand the Library’s collection, choosing books you know readers will enjoy. Each item you “adopt” stays at the Library, becoming part of our collection — but you get dibs on checking it out first!

Each book will have a nameplate affixed to the inside cover, naming you as the donor or recognizing your donation in honor of a loved one. All purchases are tax-deductible as donations to the Library.

While at the event, enjoy wine, hors d’oeuvres, and live musical entertainment, compliments of the Friends of the Lancaster Public Library.

We hope you will join us! If you are unable to attend, please consider supporting the Library by completing the enclosed card and returning it with your check or credit card details, or by visiting our site at LPL-adoptabook2018.eventbrite.com. We will “adopt” books on your behalf and note your contribution on the nameplate.
