Pre-requisites: Must have completed Firefighter I, Firefighter II and Hazmat Operations.

Course Description: The primary audience is the new or prospective Aerial apparatus driver in career, volunteer or combination departments. The secondary audience includes responders from the energy industry.

This 3 week course addresses critical knowledge and skills pertaining to the responsibilities of a Aerial apparatus driver/operator in accordance with NFPA 1002 Standards for Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications.

This course is designed to educate the driver/operators responsible for operating fire apparatus equipped with aerial devices. These include aerial ladders, aerial ladder platforms, articulating elevating platforms, telescoping elevating platforms, and water towers.

All subject assignments and activities are due on their deadline date. Failure to complete the course within the six week period will be an automatic disenrollment and result in non-completion of the course unless otherwise determined by the instructor.
