Session II: Talking about Race, Racism, and Other Forms of Bigotry with Your Kids

As a society, public conversations about race, racism, and other forms of bigotry have increased in volume and intensity. Events such as Charlottesville, Ferguson, and the Orlando Pulse shooting mean that students may be attuned to these issues in ways that adults and teachers do not anticipate. In this session, Dr. Trubowitz will discuss the development and impact of prejudice in children, strategies for engaging young people in conversations about race and racism, and tools for creating a bias-free environment in our homes and classrooms.

There is no cost to attend; admission is FREE.

Registration is limited to the first 40 people to register.

This is the second of two trainings the ADL is offering. These are stand alone trainings so if you didn't attend the first training you can still attend the second training.

For questions or to be added to the waitlist please contact Adrienne Eltink, PTA Wellness Commitee Chair, at adrienne.eltink@gmail.com or 312-339-0539.
