At our September 2015 meeting, David Consigli a CPA with Richardon CPA will discuss business valuations in the context of divorce.
The objective for this seminar is to give an overview of the process of business valuation, issues in business valuations, and to discuss the particular issues that arise in cases of divorce. Some of these issues include dividends and how they affect value and payout, double dips, buyouts, and lack of cash flow. David will also cover alternatives to buyouts.
This session will be led by David Consigli, CPA. David graduated from Bentley University with a degree in accounting. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has the Accreditation in Business Valuation issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He specializes in providing business owners with an exit strategy for their businesses. This includes succession planning, valuation, and identifying exit venues.
David is qualified by the courts of Massachusetts as an expert in business valuation. He consults on various valuation engagements including marital dissolution, shareholder disputes, estate tax planning and merger and acquisitions. David is a member of Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council. He has been hired and both a valuation expert and financial neutral in divorce cases.
David is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.
