Event Details

The Autism Society of NC invite parents and professionals to a training in English and Spanish. This workshop will provide a basic overview of some of the key evidence-based strategies that parents, caregivers, and professionals can apply to prevent and change challenging behavior in children, adolescents, and adults with ASD in home, school, and community contexts.


Objectives

  • To define a basic framework for understanding problem behaviors
  • To identify practical ways to prevent and respond to problem behaviors
  • To identify strategies that can help individuals with ASD to regulate their own behaviors.
  • To emphasize the way that these strategies are responsive to the core characteristics of ASD

Child care available for $5 per child.under 5 yrs old

Certification for Professionals: 4 hours of participation

Autism Society of NC invita a los padres y profesionales a esta presentation en Ingles y Español. Este entrenamiento proporcionará una descripción básica de algunas de las estrategias basadas en evidencia claves que los padres, cuidadores y profesionales pueden aplicar para prevenir y cambiar conductas desafiantes de los niños, adolescentes y adultos con Autismo en el hogar, escuela y comunidad.


Objetivos:

  • Revisión de factores contextuales, cognitivos y sensoriales que afectan el comportamiento
  • Identificar las principales estrategias preventivas
  • Identificar los comportamientos que pueden ser reforzados para cambiar comportamientos problemáticos
  • Revisión los procedimientos básicos de refuerzo
  • Identificar maneras que estas estrategias de cambio de comportamiento respondan a las características principales del Autismo 


Guardería disponible por $5/niño menores de 5 años

Certificado de 4 horas de participación para profesionales.
