Description

Presenters:
Marah Connole, LCPC, LAC
Joelle Johnson, LCSW, LAC

Join Joelle Johnson, LCSW, LAC and Marah Connole, LCPC, LAC for a training on addictive behaviors used to avoid or distract from the discomfort of painful emotions. This training will explore commonalities underlying all addictive behaviors including two of our most common modern-day addiction and compulsion activities: chronically checking electronic devices and food addiction. Through this training you will learn about how and why our minds create these unhelpful habits and how we can teach our clients to become more comfortable and accepting toward uncomfortable emotions.

Cost:

$10 for 1.5 CEUs (pending approval). Please provide payment at the training. Proceeds will go to presenters and to support future Consilience Institute community events.
