ADDER – A Generational Shift in the Demand for Drugs & Exploitation
Who For: This session is for colleagues and partners working across Havering within social care settings supporting both children and adults as well as Havering Foster Carers.
About the session:
This session will be delivered by The Metropolitan Police Services Project ADDER Team, A specialist team of professionals working around disruption, diversion and addiction. It provides an excellent opportunity for Social Care Practitioners and Foster Carers working across Havering to receive an in-depth insight into the current trends of the drug market, the issues we face within London’s drug market and learning around exploitation from experienced professionals in this area.
The session will include:
· Information from a charity called Invsion Trust on their work with drug exploitation and lived experience
· Shared lived experience from those that have been involved in exploitation around drugs, sharing their journey on how it started, what was involved and the impact it has had on them.
· Valuable insights from The Metropolitan Polices Drugs Focus Desk, a dedicated team of Police Drug Experts
