A Workshop & Networking Lunch on Building Successful Collaborations for USDA Community Food Projects Grants

Now is the time to start planning for your Fall 2017 application to the Community Food Projects grant program!

Join us for this unique opportunity to brainstorm creative, collaborative solutions to the problems facing our own community food system, and to take the first steps towards securing federal funding for that work. We will review the most important factors to consider during this process, and share tips for ensuring successful applications and projects.

Community Food Projects (CFP) is a USDA grant program funded by the farm bill. The focus of this program is meeting the food and nutrition needs of low-income community members through collaborative, community-driven projects that work across multiple sectors of the food system. *Allison Goin is an independent consultant specializing in sustainable local food systems and USDA funding. She has developed 30 proposals to USDA grant programs, with over $1.8 million awarded to date. She is currently providing project management support on a 3-year CFP grant awarded to The Food Group in 2016 for a proposal she developed.
