The Adam Meckler Orchestra (AMO) is an 18 piece ensemble that plays the original music of trumpeter and composer Adam Meckler. The band features many of the Twin Cities' most exciting young musicians. Though the band is founded in the traditions of jazz, it blends soul, R&B, hip-hop, and pop music to achieve it's unique and grooving sound. The AMO released their debut album "When The Clouds Look Like This" in 2014 to critical acclaim. Later that year, it was listed by iTunes as one of 2014's best jazz releases. The AMO follows their debut release with an album that explores collaborations with Hip Hop artists Toki Wright and Harjinder, as well as vocalist Cameron Kinghorn (Nooky Jones), multi-Grammy award winning vocalist J.D. Steele ( Prince, Donald Fagen, George Clinton, The Sounds of Blackness), and International trumpet soloist Rex Richardson.

When not conducting the AMO, Meckler performs regularly with The Hornheads (Prince), Youngblood Brass Band, Nooky Jones and others. More information at www.adammeckler.com

Raised in a Buddhist household, immersing himself in Black history, world culture, and community work, Toki Wright's awareness of the diverse world we live in is translated through his content driven music. He has taken paths that run the gamut from a non-profit youth organization in North Minneapolis to work with war-affected children in Northern Uganda. As an artist, Wright's travels have taken him throughout the United States and Canada as support and hypeman for Brother Ali. Other performance credits include Soundset, Coachella, CMJ, Bumbershoot , Paid Dues, Scribble Jam, and SXSW.

Being an active presence in the Twin Cities hip-hop scene, Wright has been featured on recordings by Atmosphere, P.O.S, and C-Rayz Walz, to name a few. With years of experience and numerous accolades (2007 Twin Cities Hip-Hop Awards "Best Knowledge Spitta" Winner, 2006 KMOJ Radio Artist of the Year, 2003 Star Tribune Artist of the Year - Honorable Mention, 2002 City Pages Hip-Hop Artists of the Year, 2002 Minnesota Music Award Nominee: Best Hip-Hop Artist, and more...), Toki Wright is ready to go to the next level with his debut solo, full-length release, A Different Mirror on Rhymesayers Entertainment June 9th, 2009.

Cameron Kinghorn is a vocalist, trumpeter and songwriter who performs regularly at major venues in the Twin Cities, as well as nationally and internationally. He performs most frequently as the frontman of neo soul group Nooky Jones and as the trumpeter of Afrobeat/Afrofunk band Black Market Brass, and new music from both groups is set to be released in 2019. When Cameron isn’t making and performing music of his own he can be seen performing with local, national, and international artists such as Dessa and The Minnesota Orchestra, The New Standards, Aby Wolf and Champagne Confetti, and Mild High Club, with whom he performed at the 2018 Coachella Music Festival. Keep an eye out for many new and exciting musical endeavors from Kinghorn in 2019.

Harjinder Singh is a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist originally from Chicago - a rare soul who blends artistry and purpose and into each note. Influenced by his Indian roots and time studying music and dance in West Africa and the Caribbean, his unique style draws from Reggae, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Jazz. Harjinder’s rich voice and genre-bending sounds live somewhere on the road between Chicago and Kingston, Jamaica. Lending his voice and guitar to many projects over the years, he has become known for energetic live shows, intricate instrumental arrangements, and dedication to music that moves your body and mind.

Harjinder founded Chicago-based group Fatbook, and wrote and co-produced their debut EP release (2014). Fatbook’s soulful blend of urban-roots won back-to-back awards from Downbeat Magazine, which led to national tour dates including features at the renowned House of Blues Chicago. For the past two years Harjinder has been touring nationally and internationally as guitarist and tour manager for Boston based Ethiopian-groove powerhouse Debo Band. Since the release of their sophomore album Ere Gobez (2016), the group has been featured on NPR and KEXP, and toured Brazil, UK, Slovenia, Denmark, Germany, Austria, and USA. Harjinder now steps to the stage and studio once again, this time for a solo debut where his vision and voice will come to the fore. Winter ‘18/’19 includes performances in USA, Jamaica, Canada, and Australia, along with multiple international collaborations.

“...today is another rebirth, with drive and an open heart as the journey continues.” -Harjinder
