ADAM HUSLER IS BACK IN TOWN!

With experience in the boxing ring, on ultra marathon routes, studying law and with 9 years of
having a yoga mat in hand, Adam (500RYT) brings a unique perspective to his yoga teaching.
Adam’s love of anatomy has lead him to specialise in Alignment Based Vinyasa Yoga, studying at
an advanced level under Jason Crandell. Adam has also had the pleasure of studying intensively
under Budokon Yoga Founder Cameron Shayne and renowned meditation teacher Michael Stone,
both of whom have hugely inspired his current teaching method.
Adam’s creatively sequenced classes feature long holds, controlled yet dynamic movements,
intelligent alignment and deep exploration of depth in postures. They’re also dogma free! Adam seeks to remind all that an asana practice is a very subjective experience, and whether you are a yoga teacher or a yoga newbie, prepare to work hard as they’ll be plenty of options to challenge all.

Based in London, Adam (500RYT) teaches regular classes and workshops, along with international
and online teaching.

The Big One - Vinyasa Masterclass

Big city living means our yoga classes are often just 60-75min affairs slotted preciously in
to our high energy weeks. Savasana sometimes comes as we’re just starting to unlock
those tight parts of the body. We move from asana to asana without spending time to
explore our understanding of what is happening in the body .
The Big One is a long, full vinyasa practice, tackling the whole body, especially those
habitually tight bits that we often don’t get the time to get deep in to. We’ll have luxury off
having time to chat about alignment and anatomy of common postures, potentially feeling
them in entirely new places, and then also take the opportunity to discover progression
routes for the things we might not have the chance to explore in a normal class; float
backs, handstands, arm balances. You’ll be free to ask questions throughout and hopefully
will take things away to bring to your regular practice.
Your downward dog might never be the same!

Heavenly Hips and Tight Bits

Your day probably features a lot of the below: hunching over a desk, slouching over an
iPhone on your commute, running to work, efficient exercise with zero stretching time after,
picking up a child/puppy, lifting weights … … . All this probably means your body needs
some time doing exactly the opposite actions, to find some openess and balance. A typical
yoga class might do this to a degree, but here there will be no ‘water break’ escapes when
we are faced with opening out the restricted areas.
Join Adam for this juicy vinyasa practice where we target the tight parts, finding increased
flexibility in the stiff bits and strength in the weak bits. With attention being given to;
shoulders, chest, hips, legs, and plenty more, you’ll laugh and cry as you balance on that
fine line between torture and mild discomfort. Prepare for steadily flowing, alignment
focused vinyasa and some deeper static sections.
You’ll feel wonderful after!

Twist’n’Lengthen: Back Strengthening and Spine Mobilising

When we backbend, we love to collapse in the lower back and squash the neck..because
it makes us look like we’re going further. In twists, we love to spin the neck and throw the
arm…because it makes us look like we’re going further. In this workshop we’re going to
reign things in and begin to find evenness in the backbends, congruence in out twists, and
strength in the muscles that are there to move us in these directions.
Instead of starting with contortion skills, we’ll start from the ground up, breaking down
vinyasa and salutation technique, and you’l already begin using muscles you might not
have felt before. The muscles will keep working as we continue to undulate through
individual vertebrae, unlock our iPhone hunched upper back and neck and begin to move
more dynamically thorough the spine in a strong vinyasa context. Before we neutralise our
spine in a well deserved vinyasa, we’ll have a look at some deeper static poses along with
exploring some deeper backbends like inverted staff pose, king pigeon and full dancers.
