Event description

Description

Join us for a FREE conversation with Adam Federman, author of the book Fasting and Feasting: The Life of Visionary Food Writer Patience Gray at Pitney Meadows Community Farm from 7 – 8:30pm on October 3. In Fasting and Feasting, biographer Adam Federman tells the remarkable―and until now untold―life story of Patience Gray: from her privileged and intellectual upbringing in England, to her trials as a single mother during World War II, to her career working as a designer, editor, translator, and author, and describing her travels and culinary adventures in later years. A Q&A and book signing opportunity will follow the talk.

Fasting and Feasting with Adam Federman is part of SPAC’s Cultivate Series in partnership with Pitney Meadows Community Farm and Skidmore College. The Cultivate Series features free events that explore sustainable agriculture, health, and environmental justice in advance of the Saratoga Wine and Food Festival on October 4-5.

The event is free, however reservations are encouraged.
