Acupuncture Treatment of Orthopedic Disorders:

Effective strategies for the treatment of pain and injuries

Saturday-Sunday, August 26-27, 2017

A Two-Day Seminar focusing on new strategies to treat common injuries

with Amy Dickinson, MTCM., L.Ac., Associate Professor, B.A.

~Merging Modern Orthopedic Concepts with Ancient wisdom for phenomenal results~

 

Day 1- The Upper Extremity- Includes:  Hands, wrist and elbow, repetitive stress injuries, shoulder pain and orthopedic tests to determine target tissue, anterior rotation posture, pectoralis involvement in thoracic pain.

Day 2- The Lower Extremity-Includes:  foot, ankle, tendinopathies; knee, hamstrings, hips.  Orthopedic Testing, Motor Points and Trigger Points in conjunction with traditional acupuncture points to treat these very effectively.

 

Times: 9:00am – 12:30 pm & 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Where: CSTCM Campus, Room A/B

NCCAOM Certified for 14 CEU’s

Amy Dickinson, MTCM., L.Ac., Associate Professor, B.A.  has been practicing acupuncture for 13 years in the injury-prone city of Boulder, Colorado.  She is an Associate Professor at Southwest Acupuncture College and teaches Sports Medicine. 

She created a very successful Sports Medicine Externship with the University of Colorado Buffaloes, the only program in the nation that partners Sports Med Acupuncture Students with Division 1 college athletes.  She lectures throughout the nation and in Colorado.

 

Fees:

Licensed Acupuncturists or other medical practitioners:
Early Bird Special: $219 before June 30th, $259 thereafter.

AAC Member practitioners:
Early Bird Special: $199 before June 30th, $230 thereafter.

CSTCM Students and Faculty:
Early Bird Special: $139 before June 30th, $169 thereafter.

Cancellation Policy:  Full refund 1 month  or more prior to workshop date: 50% refund 8 – 30/31 days: No refund 7 days or less or No Shows.

Do I have to be a licensed acupuncturist or student of acupuncture to attend the seminar?

Yes.  Only licensed practitioners of Acupuncture/TCM/OM or currently enrolled students in an accredited acupuncture program will be allowed to attend this seminar.

Founded in 1989, the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CSTSM) is the oldest Chinese medicine school in Colorado.  CSTCM offers two graduate level educational programs with a strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine (acupuncture and related modalities, tui na (physiotherapy/therapeutic massage), internal medicine (Chinese herbal medicine), Chinese nutrition, and energetic exercise/meditation) with a grounding in Western medicine, all as it is currently taught in mainland China.
