Event description

Description

The Advanced Communications/Leadership, Training and Speakers Bureau Club 416 (ACT Speakers Bureau) will hold its biannual Speaker's Clinic on Saturday, March 3rd.

  • Each speaker will have 5 to 7 minutes to give their speech and will receive coaching from all three judges. The speaking order will be determined by draw at the start of the meeting.
  • Speakers must be in the room when the names are drawn for the speaker's slot - if you are late your speaking slot will be given to a backup speaker on the waiting list and you will not be allowed to speak even if there is an open slot.
  • After the speaker gives their speech, each evaluator will give a three (3) minute evaluation of the speech in a round robin format.
  • Evaluator Carl Walsh is a Speaker, Trainer and a Performance Coach. He is one of the Qualified Speakers in our club and was one of the ten finalists in the 2009 Toastmasters World Championship of Speaking. Carl spent twenty years in theatre as an actor and director after graduating from London’s prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.
  • Evaluator Mun Jen Ng is the Creative Director at SIR USA and was the Founder’s District Champion for the Toastmasters World Championship of Speaking in 2013. Mun coached Josephine Lee to her Third Place finish in the World Championship of Speaking in 2016.

ACT Speakers Bureau is the oldest speakers bureau in District 100. Our club is an advanced Toastmasters club that has served our members for 27 years and our members are some of the most decorated speakers in the District.
