Active Shooter Response Training Class

Largo PD has graciously offered to deliver this very informative training course.

The goal of this training is to familiarize citizens with the options available to them if they find themselves on the scene of an active shooter incident. There are several effective strategies for increasing the chances of survival during these events. Each of these strategies will be discussed in detail during the training and practical exercises. This training is available for free to all citizens and business owners.

BACKGROUND: You will become knowledgable in the statistics and information about active shooter events.

RUN, HIDE, FIGHT CONCEPTS: We will deliver a detailed overview of Run, Hide, Fight and the effectiveness of proactive versus passive response strategies.

PHYSICAL DRILLS: You will experience live scenario exercises that compare passive versus active responses.

EFFECTIVE TRAINING: You will learn the strategies and be provided with materials to increase survivability during an active shooter event.
