Windom Security Strategies Today is presenting an Active Shooter Response Seminar on September 13, 2019 at the AC Hotel, 2811 East Camelback Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016.

There will be two sessions offered: 1st session: 10AM - 12PM; 2nd session: 2PM – 4PM.

This seminar is of no cost to attendees. Light refreshments will be included.

Our valuable training will focus on preparing you on the crucial, life-saving steps if you find
yourself in an active shooter situation. This is a time-sensitive matter and every second
counts! What we are teaching can save lives.
We will be covering:
1. Recognizing the signs/stressors of potential active shooters
2. Prevention methods and developing an active shooter plan
3. Responding to an active shooter incident

Presenter Bios:

Steve Cocco spent 27 years as an FBI Special agent, where he worked in various assignments, including organized crime, foreign counter-intelligence, and counter-terrorism. As a member of executive management, Steve oversaw the Joint Terrorism Taskforce in the Phoenix division of the FBI as well as the intelligence collection and analysis cycle. In 2007, Steve was made Deputy Commander for Crisis Response by the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security for the 2008 Superbowl. Since his retirement from the FBI in 2011, Steve has conducted private investigations and advises corporations, education institutions, and governments on security, intelligence, and homeland security matters. He is now the Chief Intelligence Officer for Windom Security and is also a frequent speaker at conferences focusing on counter-extremism as well as threat awareness and vulnerability detection and mitigation.

Gary Schell is a 5-year Marine Corps Infantry Veteran who has deployed in multiple overseas theaters. His service is highlighted by a certificate of accommodation for actions in Jordan training armed forces in advanced urban combat. As well as a Shift Supervisor at Windom, he is a fulltime student in his senior year at ASU pursuing his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with certificates in Homeland Security and Security Studies. After recently completing an instructor level course for Active Shooter Incidents his area of expertise is proactive countermeasures and practical application of techniques in regard to Active Shooter Incidents.
