In response to school personnel, first responders, and safety professional requests for more training related to school incident preparation and response, and direction regarding mental health supports for students. The Ohio School Safety Center has gathered a group of experts from different backgrounds and in partnership with Capital University is offering a free, one-day training opportunity to school safety stakeholder practitioners in the Central Ohio region.
Presenters will share real world scenarios and responses allowing schools to better understand their role. Behavioral/mental health support is not a one size fits all solution, nor is it a one and done issue. Learn about best practices and implementations you can utilize and adapt for your school’s needs.
This free training opportunity is a collaboration between the United States Department of Homeland Security, the Principal’s Recovery Network, Behavioral and Mental Health Experts, Capital University, and the Ohio School Safety Center.
