Thu, October 26, 2017, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM EDT
An Active Shooter - Hostile Event incident can happen anywhere and at anytime. In many cases, there is no pattern or method to the selection of victims in an ASHE incident – these situations are unpredictable and evolve quickly. Establishing and maintaining an active program to engage workplaces, schools, places of worship, and citizens ensures the public is prepared for such incidents.
A better prepared community will save lives. This course will go over the 3 main actions to take during an ASHE. These actions include Escape (Run), Isolate (Hide), and Engage (Fight). It is important to always be constantly alert and aware of your surroundings. These actions will allow the everyday person be prepared for an ASHE and could possibly save their life.
Note: A First Aid Kit which includes: 1-C-A-T tourniquet, 1-Emergency Trauma Dressing - 6", 1-Compressed gauze, 1-Pr Nitrile gloves, 1-Pr Trauma shears, 1-Instruct-in-a minute card, 1-Permanent marker and basic first aid supplies is available as an option.
