You are most likely prepared to respond to a fire, a flood, or even a tornado at work, but will you know what to do if an active shooter enters your workplace?
These types of incidents can occur in almost any public place including places of worship, shopping areas, and business environments. They sometimes occur randomly, but more often there are warning signs that, if recognized, can prevent another tragedy. It is essential that you are personally prepared.
Continuing Professional Development is offering a 4 hour seminar to help educate the local community. The Active Shooter Awareness, Prevention and Response workshop is led by a law enforcement professional who is experienced in active shooter response, and high risk SWAT operations in the Chicagoland area.

Commander Ed Mohn has over 23 years of service in law enforcement. He currently serves as Vice President of the Illinois Tactical Officers Association and is an Illinois State certified and nationally recognized lead instructor in a wide variety of SWAT, tactical and firearms related disciplines. Commander Mohn has planned and participated in the successful resolution of numerous barricaded gunman situations, hostage rescue missions, felony fugitive apprehensions and has assisted/consulted with numerous agencies throughout the United States in the development, implementation and operations of multi-jurisdictional SWAT teams.
