Thanks to a grant from the County of Summit ADM Board, Catholic Charities is bringing FREE parenting workshops to the Nordonia community. In partnership with the Nordonia Hills Schools, Catholic Charities will offer several types of parenting workshops for parents. All sessions feature unique video discussion programs, are free, open to the public, and come with a book to keep for future reference. Upon request, individual sessions are also available.
Active Parenting is a six-session class for parents of children ages 5 to 12. Participants will learn how to raise children who are cooperative, responsible, and able to resist peer pressure. The class also provides information for dealing with sensitive issues such as drugs, sexuality, and violence.
Dr. Joe Clark, Superintendent recently expressed his support for this initiative, “From my days as a counselor and bus driver at Camp Christopher I have known that Catholic Charities, Community Services of Summit County is committed to helping families and children live healthier, happier lives. I am thrilled to join them in this partnership to help develop life skills in our Nordonia Schools families.”
Join the next session and see a difference. For a complete listing of all upcoming classes, visit: http://ccdocle.org/program/family-life-education or phone, 330-762-2961.
