Action research is a form of investigation designed to attempt to solve problems and improve professional practices. It involves systematic observations and data collection which can be then used by the practitioner-research in reflection and decision-making. Instructor: Jeff Kritzer has many years of experience in online instructional technology. Jeff recently completed the Advanced Online Instructor certificate with the Online Learning Consortium. He has a Ph.D. in Education and is currently a professor at a leading Midwestern university.
Instructor: Mary Dereshiwsky is an expert in online teaching and creator of the online teaching technique “continuous engagement.” Mary teaches online graduate courses and critiques online courses for other instructors, serving as the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Certified Online Instructor (COI) designation from the Learning Resources Network.
