Event Details

the participatory cdc-theory workshop-series:

this time we have won Marc Rölli who has written some of the deepest going philosophical evaluations of Deleuze in a broader context of european philosophy. he is also co-author of a sum of politically oriented theory books like  "Mikropolitik (On the political philosophy of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari)" (along with Ralf Krause).

besides a reconstruction of »media« out of the ANT-perspective the workshops aims at the concept of action/acting (»Handlung«) and its revision in this theoretical context. on the background of this we will moot fundamentals about a "critique of media" (in it´s dual sense) and "media power", also opening up for debate the space between ANT-perspektive and other traditions of critical theory/sociology.

for everyone new to the cdc microverse: we had a loose series of workshops (with Claus Pias, Geert Lovink, Nina Wakeford/Christian Borch/Christoph Michels), which were all similarly structures and geared to a constructive, non-uptight but concentrated setting.

generally we discussed a more particular topic/field structured around the introduction/presence of an eminent thinker of that field, while discussion was prepared by a solid text-base.

particular to these workshops was the inclusion of cdc-people, who would comment/contribute/intervene on the basis of relating aspects of their work to the topic. the contributions were initiated/proposed by the people themselves, not neccessarily being too closely tied to their original research but rather stretching out from the own ambits and interests to the current theme in a playful, hypothetical or controversial manner.

---------------------------------------------------------
