About this event

ACT on DEI

How do you “accept” systemic racism?

How do you “contact the present moment” in the midst of a microaggression?

How do you defuse from thinking “I am racist”?

In this 3-part series, Drs. Liliane Rocha and Jonathan Kaplan explore the application of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Together, they’ll discuss how ACT can inform the process of being anti-racist while addressing specific, real-world challenges. By inviting audience participation, they’ll invite a broader conversation about ACT and how it can promote DEI issues while also acknowledging its limitations.

The event is free for NYC ACBS members. Non-members are requested to provide a donation of $5.00 (or more).

Continuing education credits will not be offered for this event.
