ACS YCC Poster Session and Grad School/Career Fair

Join the Philadelphia Local Section American Chemical Society's Younger Chemist Committee for our Annual Poster Session and Grad School/Career Fair!

Poster presenters will have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes as well as attend the Grad School/Career fair.

The event will take place in the University of the Sciences Athletic Athletic Recreation Center. There is a large parking lot right out front of the Center that will be free the evening of the Poster Session.

A light dinner will be provided for all participants. It is critical for us to keep costs down that you let Philaacs@gmail.com know if you will be unable to attend at least three days in advance.

In the case of inclement weather, the event will be postponed until March 29th.

Poster Session Participants

Poster Session judging will begin at 6:30 pm. Poster Session participants are encouraged to arrive at 6:00 or earlier to have their posters set up in time.

Judges

Judges need to have at least completed their bachelors and have worked at least 6 months in industry or be a member of the academic faculty. Current Post-docs are encouraged to submit a poster rather than judge them. Judges need to arrive by 6:00 pm for a pre-meeting.

Grad School and Career Fair Institutions

Grad Schools and Companies exhibiting at the Grad School and Career Fair are welcome to start setting up at 6:00pm or earlier as needed. Please consider bringing handouts or other giveaways for the fair participants. The poster session organizers are also looking for institutions that are interested in sponsoring one of the prizes. All institutions will have a table ready for them. Please indicate if you need electricity during registration, but note we will only have access to 2 outlets.
