Please join Susanna Greer, Ph.D., Director, Clinical Research and Immunology as she discusses American Cancer Society grant opportunities and grantsmanship tips. The American Cancer Society awards research grants and fellowships to promising scientists early in their careers who have unique hypotheses for cancer prevention and study, fostering the next generation of cancer research and creating a strong foundation of preliminary evidence to make scientific advancements. The Society also sponsors grants that support training for health professionals seeking to develop their clinical expertise and/or their ability to conduct independent research.

Workshop Objectives:

  • Provide overview of American Cancer Society funded grants and research
  • Provide “Insider Tips” for a successful application process
  • Understand how grants will be evaluated
  • Understand success rates in future funding
  • Understand online resources

  • Residents/Trainees

  • Graduate Students
  • Administrators

Registration:

All attendees must pre-register by May 13th, 2019 by 5:00 pm EST. Please note ther are two options when registering. "In Person" or "Virtual" which will be livedstreamed via Mediastat (the URL link will be provided to virtual participants via the registration confirmation email).
