Research Ethics "Disposable People"

Program Description:

Unethical research on humans can have long-lasting effects for future races and cultures. Human subjects research is voluntary and is not designed to benefit the volunteer, but towards the quality of life for standard of care recipients in the future.

Upon attending the session, attendees should be able to:

  • Introduce what ethics is in research
  • Discuss the trend of using "disposable people" in research
  • Present unethical research cases

Target Audience: Clinical Research Coordinators

Speaker: Lee Booze-Battle, MPA, CIP

Lee Booze-Battle has worked in research compliance for nearly 19 years. She writes policies and procedures, provides training to IRB members, researchers and their staff and others on federal and state regulations, and local requirements that apply to the operation of human research protection programs.

Registration Cost: FREE

Contact hours: 1.00 Contact hours have been applied for through ACRP. These credits can be used to meet the certification maintenance requirement. (ACRP2018CPT145). Membership is required for online registration & receiving of ACRP contact hours.

To receive contact hours:

Register for the event and attend the program. Log on to ACRP website then click “ACRP learning portal” to complete the evaluation between 1-30 days following the event and receive the online certificate.
