Daniel is an Israeli child who travels with his parents across the sea to far away America. He was so looking forward to meeting all of his classmates on the first day of school but he quickly realizes that they don’t speak one word of Hebrew and he doesn’t know English. The teacher asks the children to pick a partner; Daniel and Michelle are the last ones to be picked and end up as a team. Each team has to complete a task and solve a puzzle but the only way to successfully complete the mission is to work together. At first, Daniel and Michelle can’t really communicate but slowly Michelle teaches Daniel a few words of English and Daniel teaches her a few words in Hebrew. Daniel, an amazing magician, captures Michelle’s heart and together they solve the puzzle.
The audience will enjoy wonderful poetry – the Israeli “bard” of treasured classic combined with magic, music and songs. We learn together with Michelle and Daniel to bridge our differences and that friendship is a common language.
