Event description

Description

Across the Aisle: Charlottesville
A Fundraiser for our Political Future

hosted by Jim Cheng, former VA Secretary of Commerce and Trade, and Jay Kessler, Sorensen Regional Board Chair

This unique event brings together area civic leaders from all political parties and persuasions—elected officials and private citizens—for an evening of drinks, discussion and networking.

You'll meet Larry D. Terry, the new executive director of UVA's Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service, who will discuss the surprising ways in which leaders at all levels are transforming governance.

Plus, watch local artists create new work and place it up for auction to support Sorensen’s mission!

Proceeds benefit the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia, a nonpartisan organization working to enhance the quality of governance at all levels throughout Virginia.
