Description

Join us for a discussion of the book Nudge. Improving Decisions About Health, Wealth, and Happiness, by Richard Thaler and Cass Sunstein

From the back cover: Nudge is about choices –how we make them and how we're led to make better ones. Authors Richard H. Thaler (2017 Nobel Prize winner in Economic Sciences) and Cass R. Sunstein offer a new perspective on how to prevent the countless bad mistakes we make in our lives –including ill-advised personal investments, consumption of unhealthy foods, neglect of our natural resources, and other numerous bad decisions regrading health care, our families, and education.

Book Club Dynamics: In order to have a meaningful discussion, it helps if attendees have read at least part of the book. If you are unable to do so, we ask that you please have some familiarity with the book's premise (through book reviews, author interviews/presentations, etc.).

About the American Club of Madrid (ACM) Book Club

The ACM Book Club is a recurring event for ACM members to meet and discuss a selected book. We focus on non-fiction books related to personal and professional growth. We aim to select practical books that have a scientific basis in fields such as behavioral economics, positive psychology or neuroscience. We may sometimes select a podcast episode or TED Talk for discussion.

Please join us for any or all our our discussions. We meet several times a year, on the 4th Tuesday of selected months (see our 2018 calendar for specific dates.)

Not yet an ACM member? You are welcome to join us for one meeting to try it out.
