This conference will examine ways to improve the independence of persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

About this Event

The Thompson Center’s third conference on “Increasing Independence for Wisconsin’s Disabled Population” will be held in Stevens Point. This conference will focus in particular on managing the transition of the differently abled to living independently and of working as adults with a disability. A panel discussion will also approach the topic of how technology can be optimized to facilitate the independence of adults with an intellectual or developmental disability. A keynote address will take place over an included lunch. Delivering the keynote will be Michael Morris, Executive Directore of the National Disability Institute & The ABLE National Resource Center.
