Description

This workshop is designed for the Administrator, Social Services, Activity and Nursing professionals working in Long Term Care to assist them in meeting the compliance standards for new CMS regulations in Resident Centered Care.
The training will incorporate the Quality of Care/Quality of Life and Dementia Survey guidelines with the newer phases of Resident Centered principles and guidelines.
In addition to direct strategies and interventions to assist our residents, we will also be looking at the higher integration of family participation in LTC and the role stress plays in Resident, Family and Staff lives.

Session titles include:
  • Person Centered Care: Beyond the Medical Model
  • Quality of Care / Quality of Life / Dementia Care Compliance and Resident Centered Care.
  • The Invisible Resident: Ensuring All Residents are Meaningfully Engaged

  • Communication - Person Centered Approaches to Communication
  • Supporting the Challenging Family. Meeting the Needs of our Residents AND Their Families
  • Stress management for the Professional Care Giver.
