Description

The University of South Alabama Libraries invites registration for a free all-day workshop on Open Educational Resources sponsored by ACHE, the Alabama Commission on Higher Education, in association with NAAL, the Network of Alabama Academic Libraries. The workshop will be held in Mobile at USA’s Marx Library on Friday, February 23, with lunch provided for registered attendees. Speakers from across the Southeast will focus on initiatives to provide free teaching materials to support college and textbook affordability. UNESCO defines Open Educational Resources as “teaching, learning, or research materials that are in the public domain or released with an intellectual property license that allows free use, adaptation, and distribution.
