Arbitration v. Litigation: Pros and Cons of Both, Sponsored by Meyer, Unkovic & Scott


This program will discuss the pros and cons of both arbitration and litigation and will review how to draft appropriate arbitration clauses.


Presenter: Chad I. Michaelson, Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP

Chad I. Michaelson is a trial lawyer with over 15 years of experience resolving complex business disputes. He litigates cases in state and federal courts across the country, and before domestic and international arbitration tribunals. An active member of the firm’s Business Litigation and Construction Law & Litigation Groups, Chad also serves as a member of the firm’s Management Committee. In addition to his general construction practice, Chad stays current on the law of building code administration and enforcement, and he regularly represents building code officials in litigation and administrative proceedings. He also has an interest in green building and chairs the firm’s Sustainable Development Group.

Additional Information

A native of Erie, Pennsylvania, Chad currently lives in Mt. Lebanon with his wife, Kara, and their children, Jacob and Meadow. In his free time, he enjoys coaching youth baseball and softball.

CLE Program: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

This event is preapproved for one hour of PA substantive cle credit.


Cost - $15.00 - ACC Members / $25 Non-members

Harship Policy: Any lawyer may send a written request for a reduced fee, 30 days prior to program, and explain that the normal fee causes financial hardship, provide background material and must be signed by the lawyer.
