Event description

Description

Join the Town Of Rochester Environmental Conservation Committee and Riverkeeper for a riverside cleanup and tire fishing of Rondout Creek & Trail on Saturday, May 7, 2018 for the 6th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River.

Volunteers will meet at the Rail Trail Entrance on Berme Rd in Accord, NY. Look for sign across from Sages Loop Road and follow the dirt road to the parking lot. Parking in the Rail Trail lot is limited so volunteers should carpool if at all possible. We ask all Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes, boots, clothing that they can get dirty, and to bring a hat, work gloves, a reusable water bottle, and snacks. This site is appropriate for elementary age children with proper supervision.

Questions? Contact Riverkeeper at sweep@riverkeeper.org or site leaders John Messerschmidt at nycgv27@gmail.com.

Sweep would not be possible without the support of Riverkeeper volunteers and members. Magnify your impact at Sweep by joining our Sweep Crowdrise campaign! When you build your own Crowdrise team or join an existing one, you demonstrate your commitment to a trash-free Hudson and inspire your network to support Riverkeeper's work to protect the Hudson River and its tributaries. You and your Crowdrise supporters will become Riverkeeper members, and the more members we have standing with us, the more we can accomplish together.
